Earn free traffic and leads by listing your Web site in online directories

Search engines and bidding on keywords aren't the only games in town for driving traffic to your site. While keyword advertising may be the easiest and most convenient way to bump your online leads, listing your site in online directories can send shoppers your way at little or no cost to you.

The industry of online product search has two main conduits. First is the search engine. You type keywords into a box and up pops a list of potential matches. The second conduit is portals that aggregate similar Web sites in directories. Yahoo! and YellowPages.com are probably the most well-known of these. Like other aggregators, they index Web sites by industry and product so users can drill down to "search results" that make the most sense to them.

However your potential customers search - through engines or directories - you can appear in the results for free. Online directories actually need you to submit your site so they will have results to display. Your site will appear when a potential customer uses the online directory, and, standard search engine results often include listings from directories too. The links from the directory to your site may also help your standard searching engine ranking.

Online directories may be broad catch-alls or they may capture certain types of businesses. For instance, there are online directories of businesses owned by veterans and directories for certain states and cities. There are hundreds of online directories waiting for you to submit your Web site. And, there are many free-submission directories out there. Below you will find a handful of free online directories and the link for submitting your company's Web site for inclusion. Don't stop with these though, remember there are dozens more that your business will qualify for. One warning: you may be contacted by salespeople trying to get you to upgrade for a fee to an enhanced listing.

Adding a co-signer can enhance the credit of the guarantors in order to earn approvals and better terms. SunBridge Capital considers the average credit score of all the guarantors on the deal.
