Dear Broker, here are your updates for this week...
M a r k e t i n g t i p Opportunities near you to meet hundreds of vendor and end-user prospects all in one place
In our recent Marketing and Sales Strategies online presentation, it was suggested that trade shows are a great place to meet both vendor and end-user prospects. Many of you asked for suggestions on upcoming shows in your area.
The largest transportation and construction shows are typically held January through March, but there are many great shows yet to occur this Spring. Below are several of the leading conferences and exhibitions for the transportation and construction industries, including a few "well kept secrets" for which you might be able to corner the finance market. Research these shows to see which are a fit for the financing products you offer. The shows may be good occasions for you to connect with equipment sellers or end-users. Don't forget the value-added opportunities the show hosts offer - like lists of attendees and exhibitors that you can use as prospecting lists.

S a m p l e d e a l o f t h e w e e k Strong business data results in easy up-front requirement with an attractive commission
One of the components of SunBridge Capital's credit model is business data, primarily from Dun & Bradstreet. Strong D&B data can dramatically improve the structure options you can offer to your potential customers. The sample transaction below funded earlier this week:
Average Trans Union FICO: 666 Verified time-in-business: 4.2 years Business data: Strong Assets: 2008 John Deere bulldozer Amount financed: $175,000 Documents needed for credit decision: online application Monthly payment: $4,477 Due up-front: first and last payment and processing fee, no capital cost reduction structured into the terms by the broker Requested broker commission: 8 points = $14,000 Funding status: Booked

S t a t e o f t h e i n d u s t r y Do you ask applicants about their Dun & Bradstreet information and/or research it before submitting an application?

P r o g r a m a d v a n t a g e Automated reminders of approval expirations
Beginning earlier this week, you began to receive automated reminders by e-mail of upcoming your SunBridge Capital approval expirations. You will receive these notices when your open approval is eighty days old and will expire in the ten days. If you need more time to complete the transaction, either submit a new application or contact your account manager.
A i m i n g f o r t h e s a m e - d a y a p p r o v a l Research whether your applicant has a Dun & Bradstreet DUNS Number before submission
Dun & Bradstreet business data is one of the components of the SunBridge Capital credit model. You want to be sure that if your applicants have D&B data that their applications get the positive benefits of that information during our credit reviews. To check if an applicant has a D&B record, visit this page...

If your applicant's company has a DUNS Number, they may have positive business credit and trade information that can improve their likelihood of earning an approval from SunBridge Capital and improve their pricing and structure options. Knowing whether your applicant has a DUNS Number can help you better preview transactions and better understand credit and pricing decisions.
(Please note: the existence of a DUNS Number does not necessarily indicate a company has D&B data, which is what ultimately is considered in our credit and pricing decisions.) | |
