Marketing Tip | Sample Deal | Weekly Survey Program Advantage | Same-day Approvals
Dear Broker, here are your updates for this week...
M a r k e t i n g t i p Distribute your own newsletter using valued content from RSS feeds Part two of a two-part series on employing RSS feeds in your marketing
Newsletters are an ideal method of staying in frequent contact with prospects and past customers. From a marketing perspective, the recipe is to include content that is valued by the recipients and then piggyback your marketing message. This formula ensures that recipients continue to read your newsletters, while you are also promoting your business. If one of the two key ingredients is missing, your newsletter will fail to reach its goal.
For most brokers, the biggest challenge is offering content - or "news" - on a frequent basis. Much like part one of this two-part series suggested utilizing RSS feeds to add content to your Web site, RSS feeds can also populate newsletters with high-quality, timely and relevant news. (Read more or watch a short video about RSS feeds.)
New online tools have emerged that allow you to include content in your own e-mail newsletter. They integrate the RSS feeds that are published by the media into an e-mail format. You can add your own branding, design and messaging to the e-mails that are sent. All of this can be automated so that it takes very little ongoing maintenance. (For instance, the weekly Trucks at Hand e-mail of recently added inventory is completely automated using the RSS feed from the Recently Added page on the Web site.)
One of the most popular online services for creating automated, RSS feed-driven newsletters is Nourish. It allows you to choose the RSS feeds you want to use and automatically send an e-mail at a specified time each week or month. It will include only new content since the last time it sent an e-mail. For more information on Nourish, visit http://nouri.sh/. Best of all, it is fairly simple to use, even if you have only limited technology resources. (There are other providers of services that incorporate RSS feeds into e-mails for mass distribution.)
For ideas of RSS feeds to use for content, see our list in last week's Broker Program Updates.

A i m i n g f o r t h e s a m e - d a y a p p r o v a l Ask applicants about tax exemption prior to requesting lease documents
For a smoother, faster funding, ask your applicants if they believe they are exempt from sales and use tax before requesting documents. This ensures that lease documents are created properly the first time without need for new documents or addendums. | |
