Everyone knows one of the best advantages of leasing can be the tax benefits for lessees. Unfortunately, tax benefits are one of the most difficult selling points to communicate, because all of us also know that we should not convey tax advice. (With that in mind, let's first start with our disclaimer: this marketing tip is not describing how you can communicate tax advice, but rather a suggestion of some places to look for information you can offer to potential customers.)
One approach used to communicate tax benefits is to add conditional statements and disclaimers to your marketing and sales message. Many finance providers (brokers included), use words like "may" and "often" and "potential" when describing the possible positive tax advantages created by leasing. It is common to include disclaimers like "check with your accountant." Marketers and salespeople hate using conditionals and disclaimers though, because they water down the message. It is like shopping for a car and the salesperson saying "you might save money on gas, but be sure to check with your mechanic first."
The federal government makes available to the public concise information that you can pass along to prospective customers. The information available on Section 179 may be particularly helpful, as it is always a popular topic of marketing and sales messages as the end of the calendar year approaches.

Consider making the links available on your site and referencing them in your sales and marketing communications. Consider quoting passages, too (be sure to cite your source and provide links for more info). This information also makes for nice follow-up material for contacting past customers!

Based on the results of past Trucks at Hand promotions, we're confident the September promotion will draw a huge response. To make taking advantage of the promotion as easy as possible, here are the steps...
Match your customer with an asset from the Trucks at Hand inventory (www.currentinventory.net). If the asset is also on our special promotion list, then it qualifies for no payments after funding until 2009, as well as $600 gift cards for both the lessee and you (www.sunbridgecapital.com/promotions/fall-2008.html).
Click the link on the promotions page for the specific asset. If the asset is shown, it is still available. If you see the "no longer available" message, the asset is not available.
If the asset is still available, send in your application as you normally would at www.SunBridgeCapital.com/Apply.
Work to send in lease documents and the certified funds for the first payment as quickly as possible in order to hold the asset for your customer. Alternately, a (fully refundable) deposit equal to 10% of the retail price will hold the asset for your customer.
If the asset is on the special promotion list, complete and return the original version of the "Second Addendum" available at www.sunbridgecapital.com/downloads/SecondAddendum-new.pdf. The $600 gift card, redeemable anywhere MasterCard is accepted, will be delivered to customers when they take possession of the equipment or shortly afterward. The customer's next payment is due in January! Your $600 gift card will be mailed to you personally after funding.
